Well, Isla joined the SDL, so I decided to give it a shot, too. Here's my character Maboroshi Tenma!
Note: That is not his face, it's a mask. He is completely human. And his name is put down in the Japanese style of last name first, so his first name is actually Tenma.

Name: Maboroshi Tenma
Age: Unknown
Height: 6'5''
Weight: 190 lbs.
Weapon: Duel Katana swords, a clawed metal glove, and specially formulated herbal halucinagens.
Likes: Solitude, reading western literature (especially Beauty and the Beast) wolves, bats and studying herbs.
Dislikes: Overly cheerful people, anyone harming women or children, arrogance, fire, and anyone who would harm their own wife/girlfriend, or anyone they should protect.
Background: No one knows what lord (if any) Tenma served under as a samurai, where he comes from, or even what he looks like. They only know he suffered a terrible loss and wears a mask to hide his many scars.
Tenma, while secretive, untrusting and ruthless to those he deems evil, is also very caring at heart when it comes to children, and is respectful of women. As well as being a master swordsman he is also very intelligent, able to read, write and speak english fluently (his favorite book is an old copy of the story Beauty and the Beast which he carries around, though no one knows why) and can easily concoct a fine herbal powder which, when breathed by an opponent, causes them to halucinate, and see Tenma (or any other living creature) as a swift, shadowy ghost-like figure. This does not work on stronger opponents, unless they breath an increased dosage.
